Charms is Back!!!

Hey Addicts,

How have you been?  It has been a long time since we have had a therapy session.  I know you guys have missed me.  Like I said in our last therapy session, I have been having some personal life issues going on that I needed to take care.  Well I have taken care of those and I have been feeling inspired to get back to my sessions with you guys here in Blogger land and Facebook.  So starting next month I will be posting twice a week.  I hope to up to 3 times a week, but I have a 6th Grader who is in Choir and other extra curricular activities that we keep me busy.  But honestly I can't wait to get back and I thank you for those who have stayed with the blog and sent me emails of encouragement.  

I am also in the process of fixing the previous pictures that have gone bad on the site.  Slowly but surely they will be back up.

Well with that being said, this concludes today's Therapy & Rehab Session.  I know that you don't want me to go, but I PROMISE I will be back.  As always and forever, despite what your psychiatrist tells you, this Therapy & Rehab is FOREVER!!! As always...

Blog Site Problems

Hey Folks,


Recently I got a Malicious Malware Warning on my site this weekend.  I found out it was not my blog but another bloggers page that I had on my Blog Roll.  Since removing the Blog Roll,  I am now having problems with my photos...yes I know there are big Black Triangles in place of them...lol!!!  I am currently working on this but at the same time I am also evaluating if I want to remain in the Blogger world.  Life has really gotten a hold of me and I really haven't had the time to blog about polish like I want to.  I often find it easier to post my polish pictures to Instagram and move on.  I have never claimed to be a professional or have a popular blog like my other bloggers.  What I am is just a me...a lover and addict of nail polish, but I have a life outside of blogging that is really beginning to take its toll on me.  They say Death, Divorce and Moving are 3 of the top stresser in life...well I have been dealing with all 3 the past few months.  So my stress level is at a Level Red!!!


With that being said...I will figure out soon what I plan to do with Nail Polish Wasted.  I hope to have an idea in the next couple of weeks...but do forgive me if it takes longer.

Where have you been Charms?

Hey Addicts!!!

I know it has been a while since I last posted on the site.  So many things have been happening in my personal life between work & home...the conflicts of work & home.  I had to take a moment to get them both in order.  It's funny how you spend more time at work then you do at home and trust my home was beginning to show it.    Don't worry though, I will be back soon.  My goal is by the end of the month with set posting days...Wednesday and Sunday.

Now if you remember right after the New Year that I got some Epic Nail Mail well this post contains a BLUETIFUL(Yes, I spelled that wrong...lol) Franken made by one of my Fellow Bloggers Beanie at My Blue Lacquer.  Wondering what a "Franken" is...well is a nail polish that is handmade from scratch.  From what I read...it takes alot to create a Fraken from scratch...right glitter, clear polish...yeah ALOT!!! OKAY...I know I was suppose to update on the nails underneath the polish every 2 weeks...but I have been so busy.  I also thought monthly would be better because you could truly see the difference in between when I first posted back on December 29th...Baring It All and today's pictures.

The Fascinating Aurora!!!

Hoy sesión de terapia y rehabilitación: Ludurana Aurora Boreal Fascinante! 

SO...can I first just say...I LOVE THIS COLOR!!!  Now that we have that out of the way...this lovely was a part of the Epic Nail Mail that received last week.  

Ludurana Aurora Boreal Fascinante is a Brazilian Multi Chrome Polish that consist of khaki, red, copper, violet hues.  The glitter consists of pink, blue, gold...you name it!!!  The color changes in direction, sunlight, natural lighting, artificial lighting...basically every move you make.  It is ABSOLUTELY EYE CATCHING...I had a lot of my patients and office staff stop me and ask about my polish!!!  I was able to get this lovely from Llarowe...I spotted it a while back from a few blog pages and knew I just had to have it.  Did I mention it's scented...I can't describe it but after polishing the scent is soft and sweet.

Hey NP Wasters,


I am so sorry that I have not posted anything since Saturday.  Monday I started not to feel well and then yesterday I had a patient in a power scooter run over my foot.  Thankfully my foot was broken...but it hurt like a mothersucker all day yesterday and today!!!  So with all of that...the last couple of days I haven't felt like doing anything but sleeping.  I did manage to swatch a polish tonight, so tomorrow will definitely bring along a post.  The color really turned out GORGEOUS and I can't wait to show you!!!

EPIC NAIL MAIL!!!

Today's Therapy & Rehab session:  EPIC NAIL MAIL!!!

So with this being a shorten week at work and it being very busy...I was none to happy at being so tired...UNTIL...I started to receive my nail mail.  I had placed some orders from a few places and wanted to share again with you what get's me NAIL POLISH WASTED!!!

First up...I bought some Frankenstein aka Frankens (Hand Made Nail Polish) from a Fellow Blogger and hopefully a Good Fellow Blogger Friend to come!!!  OMG...if you only knew what it took to get these...you wouldn't believe us if we told you story!!!  I want to tell my Fellow Nail Polish Addict Beanie at My Blue Lacquer ...THANK YOU SO MUCH AND I JUST LOVE THE COLORS!!!

So you guys know how I am a Frugalista & Fruglnomic person.  Today's mani was all done under $5.00!!!  How did I do it...well let me tell you really quickly.  L'Oreal Eiffel For You is $4.69 at Walmart but I had a $3.00 coupon, Sally Hansen's Gem Crush Big Money is $6.99 at my local CVS but I had a $5.00 off...so basically I only paid $5 bucks for both polishes...YEAH ME!!!

Okay so here is the run down:

1. Base Coat:  1 Coat Julep Nail Therapy & 1 Coat Essie Millionails
2. Color Coat: 2 Coats L'Oreal's Eiffel For You #370
3. Glitter Coat: 2 Coats Sally Hansen's Gem Crush Big Money #03
4. Top Coat: 1 Coat Seche Vite

Well Happy New Year NPWasters!!!  I hope that you all had a very Safe & Happy New Year's Eve celebration and that you aren't to hung over from all of your festivities.  Well let's get to what we do best here...get NAIL POLISH WASTED...wait I meant have our Therapy & Rehab Session!!!  

So today's Therapy & Rehab Session:  Hopelessly Helena!!!

Now a few post back I encouraged you all to become Julep Mavens for a Cent...yes 1 RED CENT.  Hopefully you all took my advise...the offer ends Monday 1/2/12.  There should be another low cost introductory price soon...I will post it when it becomes available.  Now back to what I was saying.  Today's color comes from my December Maven Box...I need to post pictures of what I received for December & January's Maven Boxes...but for right now we are going to focus on this particular color.

So per the millions of nail polish blogs that I read...yes it is part of my therapy & rehab...DON'T JUDGE ME!!!  (:  Now like I was saying per the nail  polish blogs Revlon has been duplicating some very famous & popular name brand polishes.  So this particular beauty is Revlon's Whimsical...it is a dup of Deborah Lippmann's Glitter In The Air.  I have seen DP's GITA...this is a DEAD ON DUPLICATE by Revlon!!!  Revlon is good, damn good if I don't say so myself.  Even Deborah Lippmann had to tweet about how good Revlon was getting in duping popular polishes.  Revlon's Whimsical is priced at $4.99 at Ulta where I just so happen to pick up mine.  On Deborah Lippmann's site...Glitter In The Air is $18.00!!!  YEAH...I know...way too expensive for my CVS, Walgreens, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Target, Walmart & Franken sites blood.  I'm a Frugalista (This is an acutally person on Twitter @Frugalista) and Frugalnomic (This is an actually person on Twitter as well @myfrugalnomics).

I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!  

I am sorry that I have been away...between getting the boy off to see his dad for Christmas, work, getting ready for my own vacation and family...I have been so tired.  I have had enough energy to just polish my nail without taking pics.  Yeah I know...VERY BAD HOST/BLOGGER. So I promise tomorrow I will back on the grind.  I have a couple things to post about as the new year is coming soon.  So as always...

Today's Therapy & Rehab Session:  I decided to take some pictures of what get's me Nail Polish Wasted!!!  What's crazy is that I have a lot of these colors for a while, wore them...but never took pictures of me wearing them.  So I will have to do the mani's all over again and take pictures so you can see them on me.  I have a lot...yeah I know...this is just the tip of the ice berg.  I am a Julep Maven...so I don't even have those pictured yet...Le Sigh!!!  All pictures were taken with my HTC Smartphone, so they are not the greatest.  Also I'm not listing each color for now...if you want to know a specific color...ask me in the comments and I will respond back.  FYI...this post is PICTURE HEAVY!!!  Here we go:

What I Can't Live Without!!!

So It BEGINS!!!

Hi my name is Charms and I get NAIL POLISH WASTED!!!  Like my bio says, over several years I have paid for manicures & fake nails...each year getting more and more expensive.  I decided to start doing my own nails at home and with the help of my Sister from another Mom & Mister aka EJ tha DJ...I have tried several polishes, top coats, cuticle oils/creams, lotions...a lot of beauty products.  I have trolled over 100+  blogs that specialize in nail polish, nail lacquer, nail...well you get my point.  With that being said, I decided to start my own blog because one thing I did notice...there aren't a lot of blogs for Women of Color by Women of Color.  My point is what looks good on you doesn't always look good on a woman of color.  So you get to see nail polishes from my eyes to yours...but note my eyes are very cheap...so for a while you will not see the expensive brands.  I don't profess to know it all, my advise might not be helpful and my opinion is like...well you know the saying.  What I can guarantee you is funny, quirky, silly nail polish posts from a lady who will try anything at least once...well...will try a nail polish at least once.  As my motto says...
